Laser Measurement

• At the entry or exit of the reheat furnace a combination of laser distance measurement sensors Trilas TL or Dilas FT are used to measure critical dimensions of each slab for verification and to optimize the setup of the rolling mill.
• The width profile is used for protection of the vertical edgers and feed forward set-up of the mill for optimizing the yield through improved width control.  

Stereoscopic Width Gauge DigiScan XD4000

• Using state-of-the-art technology the DIGISCAN XD4000 stereoscopic width gauge is designed for width measurement of hot plate and strip, at the roughing mill, finishing mill and before coiler.
