Applications
The DC 3000 is a Hot Metal Detector with remote control of the sensitivity range, specially designed for heavy industry.
The detector outputs a signal for use by a process controller. Selection of one of the two sensitivity ranges may be performed remotely. The "High Sensitivity" position enables detection of steel at temperatures as low as 250°C, as well as other less-emissive products.

The sensitivity control allows the DC 3000 to be used for all Hot Metal Detection applications encountered in the steel industry.

Examples:

The DC 3000 is ideal for the detection of products rolled at lower temperatures (e.g. copper) or less-emissive products such as hafnium. It is perfectly adapted to applications where process changes result in important temperature variations (e.g. quenching) or variations in emissivity (e.g. special steels).

Above all, and in certain cases it is critical, the DC 3000 allows the choice of sensitivity range to be left until commissioning.
